Although his pottery works have been losing their purpose as containers, the characteristics of the techniques as pottery which are not just clay figures as the ways of sculptures work largely on his art. It works as restrictions towards freedom of humans and engraves unintentional naturalness and manifestation of coincidence and necessity on his art works. He accepts this as he works standing close to the beauty created by the nature’s effects and the power that gives shapes to all things beyond the human intension and act. Rain, wind and snow slowly give effects on the shapes, colours and textures of stones. And after all this long time the expression starts to carry the beauty. He feels this beauty and the spirit of nature, and with the same mind he piles up strings of clays, shaves off the sharp edges, polishes the surface, firing them and express the transformation through time and the shapes which are in the memory. http://galleryk.la.coocan.jpInformation Provided by: Gallery K Period: May 7,2018 (Mon) 〜 May 12,2018 (Sat) |
