Opened in Ginza, Tokyo in 1987 as a contemporary art gallery, and relocated to Ginza 6-chome in March of 2005. With the concern how the art is related with the society in mind to be basic. With the concern how to change the art in the society, and with an aim of living in coetaneous with artists, GALERIE SIMON holds an exhibition of the young artists as well as mainstay artists in Japan and Asia six to eight times a year. Moreover, it has a gallery bar, designed by an architect, Takahisa Kato, with a concept that the wine and the art are combined as an annex. Among the represed ted artists are Nobuo Sekine, Toyoshige Watanabe, Kenji Kusaka, Takashi Yanagawa, Michiko Kasahara, Naomi Seki, Toko Ogura, Eisaku Ando, Mayako Nakamura, Kenichiro Isaka, Hiroko Hasegawa, and Lim shing ee.
